Governor Babajide Sanwoolu's heartfelt message following the recent key handover to new Homeowners

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu pens a heartfelt message following the recent key handover to new homeowners in Igando Housing Scheme.

@jidesanwoolu The significance of today will be etched in my memory and in the memories of the 492 beneficiaries who received keys of the Lateef Jakande Gardens apartments in Igando.

It is worthy to note that all the beneficiaries were selected by the Lagos State Mortgage Board through the state introduced mortgage scheme.
Home ownership is a mark of great accomplishment and for us it is of great pleasure that we are able to provide decent housing for low-income earners through our modified rent-to-own housing scheme.

We will continue to make more impact through social intervention schemes whilst completing ongoing housing projects across the state. The welfare of the state workers is a priority in this administration and we will reserve 10% of property developed by Government for civil servants to keep them committed., encouraged and appreciated.

We would also be reconsidering the requests of applicants who missed out on this scheme in our upcoming housing schemes, to be delivered later in the year.
I hereby congratulate the new Homeowners, and enjoin them to take charge of their properties by maintaining all the facilities provided in the estate.
